NBCS Memo - November 10

Next Friday, November 17, is our Gratitude Day & Thanksgiving Feast at NBCS. All students (and staff!) are invited to dress as Pilgrims and Indians!

Mrs. Adams is preparing a Thanksgiving feast for lunch! Pre-K and Kindergarten students will eat at 11:30, and then Pre-K students will be dismissed with Kindergarten at noon. 1st-8th students will eat at their normal time.

Mrs. Adams would love help with some of the food! Please click here to sign up for what you would be willing to bring. All items may be brought to the school anytime next week or Friday morning at drop-off. Thank you!

Educational Grant Deadline
Parents, please check your email for information from the NBCS leadership regarding Spring Educational Grants. We are asking for applications for financial aid to be turned in by this Tuesday, November 14. Please email your application to Mrs. Regier at principal@newtonbible.org.

We are one month away from one of our favorite events every year - Grandparents' Day!

Remember to invite your grandparents (or adopted grandparents!) to this special morning at NBCS. School will begin at normal time, but grandparents should arrive by 9 a.m. They will enjoy a program, refreshments with the students, and special times in the classrooms. The festivities will finish at noon, when all will be dismissed (including students). We love when grandparents join us for a morning at school!

Parents, we need your help! Grandparents will share in a snack time with their grandchildren. We ask each family to sign up for one treat they are willing to bringWould you visit this link and sign up?

We also need NBCS dads (or moms!) who are willing to help with table/chair set-up and clean-up. If you are willing to help in this area, please visit this link to sign-up. Thank you!

Pictures of the Week
During Bible class on Thursday, 5th-6th grades students were split into teams and tasked with designing elements of the Old Testament tabernacle. After their design session, they presented their pieces to the class, as everyone "walked through" the tabernacle.

Why did God need a tabernacle? What purpose did each part have? How does the tabernacle point to Christ? Students were challenged with these questions, and all were encouraged by the answers they discovered!
