NBCS Memo - January 26

Our Kansas Day Celebration is tomorrow, January 27!

The day will be filled with many activities centered around TRAINS! Kindergarten-7th grade students will visit the Harvey Co. Historical Museum, as well as participate in workshops at school. In the afternoon, 3rd-7th grades will visit the train depot!

Reminders for tomorrow:

-Don't forget to send car seats/booster seats with your students!

-There is no need to pack a lunch. Mrs. Adams is providing a traditional Harvey House lunch for everyone! Thank you, Mrs. Adams! However, students may still bring a water bottle and snack.

-We love when students dress up for Kansas Day! Whether you dress as a train conductor, a passenger with suitcase, or a traditional KS prairie girl or cowboy, we will enjoy celebrating Kansas' history together!

Our Moms in Prayer gathering will be held next Friday, February 3, at 3:00 p.m. All moms are welcome to join and pray with Mrs. Regier for our school. We will be finished in time for student pick-up at the end of the day!

We are thrilled to have J.J. Jasper join us for our 50th Anniversary Celebration! Mark your calendars and plan to celebrate with us as we reflect on all God has done in and through NBCS since 1973!

Click here to visit our anniversary event page on Facebook. Please feel free to share this event with anyone who has been involved in the ministry of NBCS over the years! Even if they are not able to attend the celebration, they will enjoy the pictures and memories we share in the coming months!

"Meet" our speaker for the evening by reading the bio below!

Our 50th Anniversary Celebration's guest speaker, JJ Jasper, is a veteran morning on-air radio personality, best-selling author, comedian, dedicated Christian, and devoted family man.

JJ hosts a national morning radio show on the American Family Radio network (approximately 200 stations in 36 states). When he’s not motivating listeners with his unique brand of humor and encouragement, he's entertaining people as a stand-up comedian and keynote speaker.

He is the author of Losing Cooper: Finding Hope to Grieve WellMoses Was a Basket Case, and Jonah Had a Whale of a Time.

JJ and his wife, Melanie, have a soft spot for Christian education. Over the years, they have seen the investment they made at work in the lives of their children and are so thankful that they set them up on a strong foundation in the Lord. "You cannot put a value on the Word of God being at the center of your kid's life."

JJ is looking forward to the time that he will spend at NBCS and sharing his message about how a Christ-centered education is worth it all. Here's a quote from JJ that is worthy of our consideration: "Neutrality in education can be pretended, but never accomplished. Someone's values will always be taught."
