NBCS Memo - October 1

Moms, plan to join Mrs. Regier this next Friday, October 8th, at 3:00 p.m. for a time of prayer and fellowship! 

All moms are welcome to join and pray for our school. If you have young children, please bring them as well! They will play while the moms share and pray together. 
 
October is full of spirit days, special chapel speakers, and no-school holidays. Don't miss any of the exciting events! Please click the image above to download your copy of our October school calendar. 
 

Parents, as a reminder, school dismissal is 12:00 p.m. for half day students and 3:30 for full day students. Out of respect for the teachers' time, we ask that you arrive promptly to pick up your students. Thank you! 
 
Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held on Thursday, October 21, from 4:00-7:00 p.m.  As we schedule these meetings, it would be helpful to hear from you. If there is a time that is not convenient for your schedule, please communicate that to Carissa by Monday, October 11th.  She will then adjust the schedule accordingly. You may email Carissa at nbcs@newtonbible.org or call the office at 316-283-1337.
 
Mrs. Regier is excited to offer a corn dog lunch to full-day students on Friday, October 22nd! As with the chicken sandwich lunch, teachers will be punching students' pizza cards for lunch payment ($1.25). Students who do not want a corn dog lunch may bring a food from home. 
 
 
Students are excitedly preparing for their all-school performance of "Patch the Pirate: Mt. Kilimanjaro" on Thursday, November 11th.

For this play, 1st-2nd graders will need to dress up as leopards and 3rd-4th graders will need to dress as cheetahs. Parents, please plan to provide the costume for your child's part. We wanted to let you know now so you can be on the lookout during the costume season.

Students who have a designated character role should plan to dress as their character. If students (or parents) have any questions regarding their assigned roles and costumes, please see Mrs. Zuercher. Thank you!

Each Friday morning, Mrs. Zuercher directs our 5th-8th grade band. This gives the students extra practice before Mrs. Stucky's class on Tuesday!
