NBCS Memo - October 18

This Thursday, October 24, is a half-day of school, to allow time for Parent Teacher Conferences later that day. Please make a note to pick up full-day students at NOON! Half-day Pre-K and Kindergarten students will be dismissed at their normal 11:30 a.m. time.

Parents, your Parent Teacher Conference time was emailed to you on Monday. If you did not receive this email, please contact Mrs. Huxman at nbcs@newtonbible.org or by calling 316-283-1337.

Next Friday, October 25, is our Plaid Spirit Day and Corn Dog Lunch! Wear your plaid to celebrate the return of fall!

Lunch (corn dog, french fries, carrots, grapes, and a cookie) will be provided for all students who want it. Half-day students will take their lunch to-go at the 11:30 dismissal. Please pack a snack and water bottle as normal.

As a reminder, there is NO SCHOOL on Monday, October 28th.

NBCS Band Students (all 5th-8th graders) - click here for your band listening homework for this week!

This homework is due by Thursday, October 24. When you have listened, don't forget to mark it in your listening journal and get your parent's signature!

Colder temperatures are creeping upon us, especially during those mid-morning recess breaks! Parents, please be sure your students bring coats to school as the weather changes. We enjoy the fresh air - even if it is chilly! We want to make sure students are dressed appropriately. Thank you!

We are excited to announce our NBCS Christmas Giving Project! As the cooler weather approaches and thoughts of the holidays enter our minds, there are many families who cannot afford gifts or even household essentials. Would you partner with us to help Hope Women's Center bless these families?

Please bring your gift or donation to the school office and we will deliver the Christmas presents to Hope Women's Center in November! If you write a check, please make it out to "Hope Women's Center." Thank you!
