It’s a 3-Day Weekend, NBCS Family!

Enjoy some fall fun, and mark your calendars for all our upcoming October days off!

 

Our school has been blessed to be lifted up in prayer by the volunteers of Keep Watch every Monday morning. They faithfully arrive before school begins and walk through the halls to pray for our students, teachers, families, and more.

 

The mission of Keep Watch is to see every school covered in prayer so that the power and presence of God are experienced in our communities.

 

The Newton Keep Watch program is in need of a few more volunteers to pray over and through NBCS and South Breeze Elementary. Anyone interested in joining the prayer warriors of our hallways should contact Becky Wheeler at 316-284-1875.

Mark your calendars for Thursday, October 16. We will gather at 8:30am (directly following drop-off) in the church overflow to pray together. Childcare will be available for younger siblings! 

If there is something you'd like to group to cover in prayer, please reply to this email!

Friday, October 24 is Plaid Spirit Day, so pull out your favorite plaid shirt, dress, or accessory and show off your school spirit in style!

 

At lunchtime, we’ll be serving up a special corndog and mac 'n cheese lunch for all students. Plain hot dogs (no bun) and gluten free mac n cheese will be available to accommodate the students who need it.

 

We can’t wait to see all the plaid and enjoy this fun meal together as a school family!

The Newton Fire & EMS Departments came to NBCS to give a Fire Prevention Program to the Pre K through 5th graders! Pictured above are a few of our students demonstrating “Stop, Drop & Roll" with Firefighter Vincent.

The Junior High students have been working with plants. 6th grade went to Stutzman’s to identify plants, and the 7th & 8th graders made terrariums.
