Iowa Assessments
Our Kindergarten-8th grade students will be taking the Iowa Assessments and Cognitive Abilities Tests from April 1st-5th. All parents should have received an email with further details. The testing fee is $25 per student. Please bring this payment to the school office by this next Friday, March 29th. |

State Qualifier Announced!
NBCS has been notified by the National Geographic Society that Priscilla Harder is one of the semifinalists eligible to compete in the 2019 National Geographic GeoBee Kansas State Competition. The competition will be held in Abilene this next Friday, March 29, 2019.
Congratulations, Priscilla! We are so proud of you!

Annual Eagle 5K
Saturday, April 9, 2019 at 9:00 a.m.
Athletic Park, Newton, KS
Our annual Eagle 5K Fun Run/Walk event is fast approaching! This event is one of our largest fundraisers each year - and one of our favorite times together! Whether you run, walk, or crawl, all are encouraged to join us in supporting NBCS in this way.
How can YOU help?
1. Register to Run/Walk - You may register by emailing Carissa or by clicking here. Registrations must be in by this Friday, March 29th to receive the discounted price!
2. Ask Sponsors - Students only have to raise a minimum of $15 and their registration is free (PLUS they receive a free t-shirt)! But, raise more and students will be in the running for a class pizza party and be supporting their school! Students have received sponsorship forms. These may be copied and distributed to everyone you know! This is an easy way to help support NBCS and spread the word about our school.
3. Volunteer - This race cannot happen without your help. Even if you do not race, there are many ways for you to get involved! We need volunteers to help at the registration table, stand at different points throughout the race, and helping with timing. We also need volunteers to bring refreshments (bananas, cookies, or donuts). Please email Carissa at nbcs@newtonbible.org if you are willing to help at this event or sign up on the volunteer form on the school bulletin board.
4. Distribute Flyers - Eagle 5K flyers are available in the school office. Stop by and pick some up to spread around town!

| Mark your calendars and plan to join us on Thursday, April 11th at 7:00 p.m. as we celebrate all God is doing at NBCS this year! All students will provide entertainment as guests are served dessert and enjoy fellowship with one another. NBCS alumni, supporters, family and friends are welcome to attend! |

Thank you to everyone who attended our NBCS Open House! It was a wonderful evening of fun and fellowship with old and new friends. We are excited to see how God will continue to use NBCS in the upcoming school year!
