The 2025-2026 school year will begin on Wednesday, August 20th! Teachers are busy making plans. We are excited for all God will do at NBCS this coming year!

Mark your calendars for our NBCS Enrollment & Work Day on Saturday, August 9, from 9 a.m.-12 p.m.

Not only is this an opportunity for you to assist us in preparing the building for the start of school, but it is also a time for you to pick up your enrollment packet, meet the teachers, order P.E. uniforms, purchase milk/pizza cards, pick up your 2024-25 yearbook, and get everything you need for the start of the school year!

We are excited for this time of getting to know one another and serving alongside each other. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to respond to this email.

Piano Lessons

Hello! My name is Rachel Esch and I'm excited to be offering piano lessons to NBCS students during the 2025-2026 school year. I first started taking piano lessons when I was 6 years old and expressing myself through music quickly became one of my favorite pastimes and an important part of my homeschool experience, guiding me to a major in piano pedagogy and elementary education at Tabor College. It became clear to me how music reflects the beauty, creativity, and intelligence of God. During the last 7 years of teaching private piano lessons, I have discovered the joy of developing and encouraging the musical gifts of others. As a teacher, I emphasize:

Establishing steady rhythm
Developing a solid technical foundation
Strengthening music reading abilities
Fostering an understanding of music theory
Inspiring musical expression

For students who enroll, I will be pulling them from their regular classes to teach 30 minute piano lessons. Students are expected to commit to lessons for the entirety of the semester, preferably for the whole academic year. Each semester’s tuition is divided into monthly payments of $75.00. Our 5th-8th NBCS students have been invited to join the Central Kansas Homeschool Athletics Association (the Mustangs!) cross country and volleyball teams for this fall. Please see below for more details.
