There’s music, mystery, and mayhem in Venice. The scent of garlic is in the air as gondolas are sinking everywhere! Come along with Captain Eli and his crew as they solve the mystery with Papa and Mama Carrabba and Sherlock! It’s an Italian musical feast for your ears and you’ll be rolling in Mama’s special “schpaghetti” sauce.
 
Everyone is invited to our All-School performance of "The Villain of Venice" - a Patch the Pirate play - THIS Thursday, December 12, at 6:30 p.m. This program is a great opportunity for guests to be entertained, as well as exposed to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We would love for your families to join Captain Eli and the crew as they help Mama, Papa, and Sherlock catch the Villain of Venice!
 
Please note that we will also have a dress rehearsal at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday the 11th. You are invited to attend this performance as well!
 
There are a few reminders concerning the program...
  • Bring refreshments! Following the program, light refreshments will be served in the gym.  Families with a last name beginning in A-L, please bring a salty/healthy snack to share, and M-Z families please bring a sweet snack.
  • Arrive at 6:10 in costume! As a reminder, this program will involve all students.  All K5-8th grade students should arrive at 6:10 and be dressed in their costumes!  The students will all meet in the Music Room.
  • Time of giving! The school will be taking an offering that evening. All proceeds will go toward Christmas gifts for our staff members. Please come prepared to give.
 
 
All students are invited to wear their cozy, fuzzy socks to school this Thursday!

Christmas Project 2019
Delivering plates of Christmas goodies to our community


Who will we visit? EMS workers and shut-ins

When will we go? December 20, 12:30-2:00 p.m.

How can I be involved?
1st-8th grade students should bring one-two dozen Christmas goodies to school by December 19. We will use these to make plates of treats for the people we visit. If Kindergarten students wish to give toward the project, they may also bring goodies.

We will need some parents to help transport students. Please e-mail or call Carissa if you are available.

What do you mean by Christmas goodies?
·         Homemade cookies
·         Candy
·         Individual servings of party mix in bags
·         Individual servings of hot drink mixes
·         Other favorite Christmas treats
·         Cuties
 
NBCS is thrilled to partner with Jenny Masias to offer our Kindergarten-8th grade students the opportunity to learn Spanish! 1-hour classes will be offered over the course of 8 weeks at NBCS. Classes will be held once a week from January-the middle of March after school hours.

We enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving Feast with our grandparents! Grandparents, we praise God for your support and guidance in our lives. We are so thankful for all of you!

We also want to thank Travis and Amie Robinson for coordinating and preparing our Thanksgiving Feast! It was so yummy, as always!
