Next week, April 5-9, all students will be participating in standardized testing. It is vital that students arrive on time and are here every day. Practice tests will take place this week. Please avoid scheduling appointments during the school day. It is also essential for students to be well-rested and bring healthy snacks. Teachers will spread the tests out over the five days of the week, so each day will only have two or three tests. If you have any questions about the schedule, please talk to your child's teacher since each class will have a unique schedule. These tests are a helpful tool in monitoring student progress over time and in evaluating our curriculum and instruction. The test results are not used in giving grades to our students, and there will be times when students may be asked questions over material they have not covered. In other words, testing week is not something to be concerned about! We want the students to relax, enjoy a change of pace, and do their best.
