NBCS Memo - January 28

Celebrating Kansas Day is a favorite NBCS tradition! This year will be no exception. From cheese and sauerkraut cooking to quilting and clay creations - lots of fun activities are planned! After a sloppy joe lunch, 1st-8th students will also be visiting the Warkentin House in Newton. We can't wait to learn about Kansas Prairie Homemaking together!

A few important reminders for TOMORROW:

-Students will be performing class KS Day skits at 8:45 a.m. Parents, grandparents, supporters, etc. are all invited to come watch! The skits will be held in the sanctuary.

-All students are welcome to come to school dressed in their best Kansas Prairie attire!

-Kindergarten will be dismissed at 1:00 p.m., following lunch.

-Lunch will be provided for all our students! It will be sloppy joes and sides. No need to pack a lunch!

-1st-2nd graders need to bring their booster seats (if needed) for our ride to the Warkentin House.

***ANNOUNCEMENT***
We are THRILLED to announce that in place of our Open House & Parent Meeting, we are hosting a
Family & Friends Movie Night!

Invite your friends!

Mark your calendars!

Look for more details to come!

This event will be held on Friday, February 12th at 1:00 p.m.  This will be a normal school day for NBCS students, but parents are invited to come at 1:00 to view the performances.

Participants - listed below are all the items which are due to the school office by the end of Wednesday, February 10th.  It is very important this deadline is followed, as this will allow the office time to make copies for the judges, arrange artwork, etc. If you need additional copies of any of these items, please let Carissa know.

· Judging Forms (with top portion filled out)
· Art Projects
· Art Paperwork (Artist’s Idea Statements, original designs and images, etc.)
· Copy of speech/music piece (1 copy for each entry)

Please note that we ask boys who are participating to wear a button-up, collared shirt, dress pants, and dress shoes.  Girls are asked to wear a dress or skirt with dress shirt and dress shoes.  All dresses and skirts should be worn to the middle of the knee.

Please do not hesitate to contact the office with further questions.  You may email Carissa at nbcs@newtonbible.org or call 316-283-1337.

We are looking forward to a wonderful event!
